IKEA KALLAX White Shelving Unit - Modern Bookshelf & Storage Organizer for Living Room, Bedroom, Office & Playroom

I purchased this product at a significant mark-up because I haven't been able to access it via IKEA for months. When the product arrived, it was missing all of the pieces needed for assembly (dowels, screws, etc) as well as the manual. I then had to go to IKEA and spend more money to get the parts needed for assembly. Additionally some of the boards were damaged around the corners. Overall pretty disappointed that this item cost as much as it did because it was not as advertised and the seller definitely ripped me off.These shelves looked like they had gone through a war zone. In fact, the boxes were so ripped open that the box that contained parts left a trail of them as my husband and I carried them upstairs. They were also expensive compared to the cost at ikea, I feel like I should be refunded at least half the cost or replaced my items.For twice the price of what they cost through ikea I expected these to at least contain all the pieces! There was no hardware included so not sure I will even be able to build them! One came with a hole punched through and the other a corner was crushed. Absolutely ridiculous considering the seller is selling them for double what they should cost.Amazingly sturdy for being so light. Easy and fun to put together. A much better way to store your albums than crates.Item was poor quality hammer marks and holes before in the box no hardware or instructions includedArrived in great condition, easy to assemble, and looks great!Not having to pick it up from the store.It doesn't say Ikea on the box and doesn't match an Ikea shelf I have. It is made from another manufacturer.I absolutely love this unit I bought it in white with grey boxes and have it in my hallway. I’ve had many compliments on it, it looks far more expensive than what I paid for it. I will be purchasing more units from this seller. It was well packed for transport.I am a self-confessed IKEA convert – somewhat late, I agree, but better late.....Wanting to update my living room and in desperate need of storage I thought I might venture into my local IKEA store, but the thought of it gave me panic attacks. I've only ever set foot in one of those huge great square behemoths three times and aged rapidly during the experience. It's not the looking around, it's that feeling of being in the Twilight Zone, and the horror of not being able to find the hidden exit.Imagine my delight when I discovered some of it on sale here, on Amazon. Oh joy! There' sno stopping me - this is now the third piece of Kallax I've bought in the last couple of weeks; I love everything about if, from the sheer ease at which the whole thing slots together, to the sturdy robust build and the final look.It's simple and stylish – a bit like me.It seems IKEA are unable to pack items for transit as this arrived damaged - this has also been my son’s experience. Fortunately I could put the damaged pieces at the back.As you can see, the unit was placed on its side, so I could use it as a tv stand (I have two large dogs and this is above tail height). It’s very stable in this position, even when knocked by my dogs.All in all, very happy but PLEASE, IKEA do something about your packaging.I have my unit on it's side in my dining room as a sideboard unit. I love it. My 8 year old son helped me assemble the unit and was able to tell me which part went where and which piece was next.. Honestly it's really simple.Lovely unit, and perfect to store all my daughters toys!Unfortunately it arrived damaged - due to the delivery company's miss-handelling, however the seller was very quick to respond and rectify this! Very happy with their customer service! Would & have purchased from the seller again since! Would definitely recommend! ?
