This is going to be my most elaborate review, and will be the start towards becoming a bonafide reviewer here on Amazon.Info about the posted photo is at the bottom of the review.This is the best wire shelving garment rack that I've ever purchased. Prior to owning this, I had bought one from Target that fell apart within three months then I bought one here on Amazon that also didn't do so well (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004S48H6S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1).I was quite surprised by how heavy the box was when I received it, but the weight of the box meant this thing is truly heavy duty. Assembly is quick and easy and can be done by one person as I did. It will take you approximately 20 to 30 minutes to put together. Once it is up, you can adjust the wire racks to your liking which is the best feature of this rack. The castors are strong and according to the instructions they can withstand 500lbs of weight on them. That's freakin' amazing! I've no idea what I could place on it to test its weight capacity, but needless to say you can place lots of clothes on it. There's no wobble or weak joints with this rack. Upon receiving the second unit, I realized it's just poor packaging by the manufacturer. My unit came with scratches all over the pipes. Due to this reason alone I deducted a star; otherwise, it would have been a five star product. I contacted Amazon and they immediately sent a replacement within the same week. Great customer service from Amazon as always!You will LOVE this wire shelving garment rack as it is both aesthetically appealing and made of solid construction; however, if you're like me then you will hate how the manufacturer packaged this otherwise wonderful product.About The Photo:Upon opening the box, you will find that the product appears to be packaged well. That is until you cut the zip ties that hold the shelves together. Once you remove the top rack, you will find that the support poles are not in their plastic covers to protect them from scratches. Instead, you will see that the plastic and cardboard ends to hold them in place were just stuffed near the poles. My first shipment all the poles were removed from their protective plastic covers with cardboard ends. I saw that the cardboard ends were ripped off as if someone who had ordered it the first time would have done so. The second shipment four of the poles were in their protective covers while the other four were not which really upset me.What you are seeing in the photo are the poles out of their protective plastic coverings right after I removed the top rack. That's how the unit came packaged and I have video to prove it. :) I found that it's too much of a hassle to keep replacing the unit till I get one that's packaged properly. It's not Amazon's fault. So, I decided to keep the second unit that was sent as a replacement.This is the best shelving rack I've ever purchased. I have bought countless amounts of crappy shelving racks over the years from big box stores such as Walmart and Target, but none of them lasted much longer than a month. In fact, most of them started swaggering and swaying the moment I hung up a couple heavy coats. This Alera rack surpassed all expections. I scrolled thru numerous listings for garment shelving on Amazon for several days and read countless reviews. It was just too hard to tell if what some people thought was good would be good enough for me. I needed something sturdy that would last and that my kids could terrorize without fear it would collapse on them. My husband likes to keep his work clothes in the game room/laundry area so that he doesn't wake me up in the morning getting ready for work. I got sick of seeing the unorganized piles on the table and random clothes hanging from the laundry area. So, I decided it was time to organize his mess. He certainly wasn't going to. So, I bought this Alera rack and haven't looked back. My game room is cleaner than its been since before kids. This rack is so big and heavy duty. I literally have all 20+ of his work shirts and pants etc hanging from it. Plus, it has a nice spot I can hang all his belts on. I also put some storage type containers on the bottom shelves to put his boxers and socks in. There is a spot for everything. I also want to add that I'm not the handiest of people, usually that is the hubby's department, but I was able to put together this rack myself in under 20 minutes. I probably could have completed it quicker, but I'm the type of person that always has to read the directions. This is probably one of my best Amazon purchases yet. I am actually thinking of buying another one for my garage to hang up winter coats etc and another for my laundry room so the kids can get their clean hung up laundry and trek it back to their rooms. If you are someone that is an organizational fanatic and loves good strong quality products , I promise you won't be disappointed with this purchase. In fact, stop reading reviews now and just go ahead and buy this already. I'm positive that you won't find a better garment rack.Fantastic sturdy garment rack. We researched a lot before we decided to buy this rack and it did not disappoint. It was easy to set up and with the wheels, it's easy to move even when the rack is fully loaded. There was an issue with tracking the shipment, we were impressed with the Seller's fast response to our queries and thorough communication. My husband has already told me to put another order for another rack!I would buy another one in a heart beat. It is durable (has moved across country with me twice!) looks awesome ! I receive a lot of compliments it and have recommended it to my friends.It is a great buy!Bought this because we were holding a very large birthday party, and I hate having coats put on the bed. Set it up in our bedroom for guests, then moved it into a spare room, where it now holds seldom-used clothes (formals, etc.), hats, shoes and anything else we can think of. Incredibly sturdy, and SO easy to put together. It even LOOKS nice. Highly recommend paying the $$$; totally worth it.Nice solid wardrobe at a good price.ok
