Five stars because I rate on quality even if something doesn't specifically work for me. These things are stronger than the metal shelves themselves. Very thick, very solid, once on they do not wobble. Hopefully they don't rust, but only time will tell on that (I do not have my shelves in a moist environment so I expect it's not an issue). They are fairly difficult to put on because it takes some strength to compress them enough to get the clamps inside the bars, though they then can be wiggled into place if they didn't land exactly right. They come off more easily, as you can brace against the back of the shelf when you push on the divider to let it sproing out.The problem for me is that these are not infinitely adjustable along the shelf length. They have curved brackets that brace against the inside of the horizontal wire of the shelf edge, so they must stick down through the shelf. And they must go into one of the sections that doesn't have a zigzag point from the edge border sticking down. So they do cost a couple of inches at the end of the shelf as another reviewer said. More importantly, I want to divide my shelves into thirds, ie at the points the cross-bar wires are, and these dividers can't go through the cross bar or even jam up close to it.I got six dividers and have ended up using only one, on the end of the top shelf to act as a side-stop. I tried putting one at the other end of that shelf but realized I'd be banging my hand on it all the time. I'll see if the others work on similar shelves in the basement, though we mostly have boxes on those and thus don't need uprights for them. I do wish these were in black, as that's the color of the shelves that I put the divider on.Side note: bizarrely, I received a package today from Omega. Just a little bunch of the plastic grips that go on these shelving units to set the shelf heights, and I don't particularly need them. No email, no letter or invoice in the box, and I had to do a little searching to confirm the origin. It feels like one of those scams that send odd things to addresses to "verify" things so they can post glowing reviews of unrelated products. But the shipping address includes a line about "promo" so maybe they thought I'd just be happy with them for this?
